This style of opener features two wings for controlled operation. The sharp point of the corkscrew can be used in lieu of a knife to remove any foil or wrapper that is around the bottle's neck. Then, simply insert the corkscrew into the dead center of the cork and twist the lever pull until the two arms rise all the way up. Then push down on the two arms/levers. As you do this, the cork will extract. With more expensive bottles of wine, the cork may be longer, so if it doesn't extract fully, gently wiggle it until it comes loose. Now you're ready to serve a satisfying glass of wine!
